Looking back at our past projects this installation popped out as a fun one. The client asked us to blend the desert sunset color scheme of the conference into the networking space that we created. Our first priority was to design the networking space to meet the needs of the attendees of the conference. When not in session, some people look for a private place to make a call or connect back to work or home. Others look to make connections in small groups or large – so a mix of settings and postures is the answer. To connect to the warm color scheme of a dessert sunset, we started with neutral elements of charcoal grey and wood tones and then added in the colors inspired by nature. Restraint was important. Too much of this colorful pallet could end up looking like a circus. Orange, pink, gold tones and a bit of blue helped achieve the look.
