Dusseldorf, Germany was home to the Glasstec Trade Fair – the largest glass show in the world. 43,000 visitors attended this year and TCondon made sure Guardian Industries was a standout as they launched great products for 2012. Part of the challenge of a large show is breaking through the noise and clutter. We designed a welcoming space with a base of clean white, contrasting smartly with Guardian’s blue and green. We utilized large panes of glass and really cool interactive displays to fill the space without being busy. The glass itself was the star, shining, literally, in this beautiful modern space. We also blended together hospitality and meeting areas, allowing Guardian to host visitors and to fully showcase the comprehensive array of solutions in commercial, residential and interior glass products. We’re packing it up and getting ready for the next big event.

By the way, Guardian’s product is terrific – modern, smart, and top-shelf. Learn something new. Click here to see what you should know about. www.guardian.com/AboutGuardian/Newsroom/News/prd_056998

TCondon’s newest booth design for Guardian Industries is becoming a reality at the GlassTec Trade Fair in Germany. Guardian has some great products and the booth is coming together nicely. I focused on a clean white base with the glass products jumping off chromatically. It’s great to see all of the hard work come together. And, the show is the biggest in the glass industry so Guardian will have plenty of visitors. Stay tuned for a show recap.

Learning today is not the experience that you might remember from 20 years ago. And, it will be different tomorrow. The booth that we created for Steelcase at Educause was full of new ideas that break out of the conventional classroom setting. We highlighted products that create innovative environments for collaboration and learning. To maximize the booth’s 20’ x 20’ footprint we positioned the architecture of the space on a 45 degree angle. This created 2 small display areas that worked like storefront windows – a retail technique to showcase hot new products to pull people in to discover more. The collection of new technology products from Steelcase created quite a buzz at the show and we accomplished a lot in a small space.

This was one of the most challenging exhibits to design. Our client challenged us to pull the best products out of the 3 huge showrooms at NeoCon in the Merchandise Mart to create a 20’ x 30’ experience. We still had to capture the impact from the show, to communicate the company’s messages, and to position the products in a compelling way to grab the attention of the viewer. We pulled it off. To organize the best-of-the-best we created 4 small spaces and designed two large walls that defined the space and highlighted messaging. We put the newest hot products up front and utilized color to stand out. The venue can be dark and dull, so we used bright yellow and blue to brighten the space There were a lot of stories and products to share in a fairly small environment but it worked really well. We got a lot of great feedback and were happy to step up to the challenge.

Best of Show – Large Booth award was given to Guardian at the GlassBuild America show in Atlanta. We are delighted that our booth was so well received. We utilized vibrant colors contrasting against clean white surfaces to showcase an amazing variety of glass solutions. Our floor plan design created conversation areas where visitors could learn about the functionality, patterns and intelligent solutions that make Guardian great.

The team at Xibitz is busy packing up the Guardian booth at this moment. Poised to make an impressive showing at GlassBuild America, we pulled together some of the existing displays and created a few new ones for the show. It all starts on Sept. 12th in Atlanta and the world will get another chance to see all the cool products that Guardian has to offer.

All polished up — here are the professional pictures of the Guardian InGlass booth at NeoCon. Lots of traffic, delighted clients, and many good connections were made. It was a great show.

Outdoor, Lobby and Guest Room – with a little imagination you can see the 3 settings designed for the hospitality market. Steelcase Coalesse furniture is so great to work with – I love it all but unfortunately just can’t afford to fill my house with it. It does make pulling together a beautiful booth pretty easy. The outdoor furniture is by Emu – a company in Italy that has an agreement to sell through Coalesse.

Working on the Guardian InGlass booth – a big introduction of their interior glass collection including 4 patterns designed by Joel Berman. It’s coming together really well. I’ll share the professional photos when I get my hands on them.

Nurture, a Steelcase Company, is all about the world of Healthcare. Tasked with introducing a new cart called Pocket we created a feature area in the front of the booth that was very accessible from all sides to pull people in and to experience how effortlessly the cart moves across the floor. The monitors helped explain the story. True to Nurture’s showroom strategy the booth was a story, told by environments, that give you the feeling that you are in an actual clinic. Further ensuring understanding the product and reinforcing that Nurture is a leader in Healthcare.
